Basic Core Stability Program
The following exercises are examples of stability exercises. They are not extremely difficult exercises, however using a swiss ball instead of a stable bench increases the instability and for a beginner it increases the difficulty of the movement. There is more muscle fibre recruitment and different muscles will be utilised to assist in stabilising the body during the set. The more unstable the surface is the more beneficial it is for developing proprioception (balance and coordination) and fine motor control.
